Business stationery

Although business stationery is a nice addition to your business, it also can give you more credibility.

If you are writing a letter to a business associate, it is almost certain that he will be more impressed if you send information to him on business stationery instead of just plain, white paper.

In order to create your own business stationery, it is important that you follow these steps:

• Create a design – If you are able to choose a professional font and keep the design crisp and clean, you will be doing something that a lot of people do not do. It is easiest to go with a pre-printed template, but this may not suit your needs.

• If you create new business stationery, you may want to use your company logo on it. Perhaps your business already has a logo, but maybe it does not. If there is no existing logo, you could create one yourself. A logo can be as simple as the business name in a certain font and colors. Some logo designing companies exist that can improve the look of your logos.

• The style that you use on the business stationery should also be used on everything else that you do. This includes thank-you notes, invitations, business cards and envelopes. If the idea is to be able to brand yourself, it is best to do this through a series of repetition.

• Choosing how to print business stationery is a big choice. You could have them professionally-printed or you could print it on your laser printer at work. You are likely to save quite a bit of money by printing it in-house, but you are also likely to get a better quality product of business stationery if you send it out to print.
